KYBELLA® is an FDA-approved injectable used in men and women to improve the appearance and profile of moderate-to-severe fat under the chin (submental fat), also called the “double chin,” and permanently dissolve small pockets of fat in other places of the body. Kybella can treat small areas of fat in the inner thighs to reveal slimmer legs and in the jowls to eliminate the sagging in the lower face. This procedure can also be injected into bra bulges, which are small fat pockets under the armpits that are difficult to lose even with a healthy diet and regular exercise. Kybella is made of a synthetic material, deoxycholic acid, that helps the body absorb fat by destroying the cells of the membranes that store it. When the cells are permanently destroyed, your body naturally eliminates the dead fat cells, and they can no longer store fat.
